The Nuisance (Flash Fiction)

I had always known that I shouldn’t have accepted the job at the childcare centre but I didn’t have a choice. I was desperate for money to pay my debts and the owner kept on losing workers every day or so it seems. “Some people just can’t stand the heat,” I was told the day I started to work there. I started to give up on trying to get the kids to listen to my instructions on day one itself. “These people are satan. They are a nuisance,” I told someone who asked me how my work go. It wasn’t until two weeks later that I found that the kids are way evil beyond satan. I was at the playground when I found something on the ground. It was bones, human bones. I didn’t live long enough to figure out whose bones they belonged to.
